Jan 12, 2021. I got my first Nikon AI-S lens, it's the Nikkor 180mm 2.8 ED AI-S and really like to use it with a Df camera. The built quality is exquisite, the rendition excellent, sharpness is good, the right size/weight, if it were easier to focus it would be perfect.
8 lip 2024 · It’s the Nikkor 50mm f1.4 AI-s, an almost ubiquitous standard lens for Nikon’s upmarket 35mm film SLRs in the 80s, and one that not only subsequently worked on Nikon DSLRs, but which can be adapted to almost any mirrorless camera from any brand.
The Nikkor AF-D 28mm f/1.4 is an FX lens, however in this review we'll have a look at how the lens performs on our current DX test camera, the Nikon D7000. On DX its field of view is equivalent to a 42mm lens, so it leaves its original scope (wide angle) and behaves almost like a normal prime.
I would fully agree with Roland, especially in terms of these two aspects. The longer focus throw of Ai 50/1.8 enables critical focusing which is benefitial to the digital cameras with denser pixels.
There are some caveats though with lens compatibility. I'd use Roland Vink's Nikon serial number database to identify the lens mount variant on your dad's lenses. Anything newer than "AI" will mount fine on the D7000. To add to the confusion, the Nikon->Canon lens adapter will not have any compatibility issues with different lens mount variants.
