27 paź 2014 · The second digit of the serial numbers on them were thought to indicate when Nikon changed the coatings on their lenses. The 1st digit identified their format size. The same went for Nikons EII Porro prisms. Nikon announced when it switched from Lead Glass to Eco Glass so that is generally considered the starting point.
15 sie 2014 · Nikon make a tremendous set of binoculars in the Monarch ATB series. I was drawn to this model after Cornell Lab reviews that consistently place these binos in the same league as models many times their price.

22 gru 2020 · After reading all this, I'm thankful I was able to get a couple of sets of Nikon EII eyecups as spares back when they were inexpensive and easily available from Nikon USA. So far, approaching 20 years now, I haven't needed them yet. My Nikon 7x35 Es are 37 years old now and their original rubber eyecups are still intact. Rich
