  2. 28 maj 2013 · Anyone compared the old 18-135 with the much newer 18-105 vr or 16-85 vr . The would all appear quite similar according to DXO here. Good post on why you can't always go by the DXO score. You could add in the 18-55 kit lens to make a complete list.

  3. 12 kwi 2007 · I had both...the 24-120 VR focuses better and faster. I had two copies of the 18-135mm and they both had problems focussing (hunting) in normal room light, while the 24-120 snapped in quickly. No comparison. Buildwise, the 24-120 VR is more solid and the VR comes in handy.

I've looked at the threads in this forum, but havn't seen anything comparing these two lenses' pros and cons. Is one sharper than the other? Is it worth having the added zoom range on the 135?
