These cover a variety of topics, including outpatient hysteroscopy and laparoscopy in pregnancy, consent advice, plus links to patient information leaflets and support websites.

The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists’ key objective is to set standards to improve women’s health. It has been producing guidelines and standards in various formats, together with other national bodies such as the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) and the Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network.
This guidance is written with the aim of optimising referrals into the Gynaecology service. The correct patients should be referred to the right clinicians, with appropriate investigations performed and initial treatments tried.
