Transfer Student Application Requirements. As a transfer applicant, you must meet specific coursework, unit, and grade point average requirements as outlined below. For some areas of study, major preparation is also required and must be completed by the end of spring term prior to fall admission.

All accepted transfer students who enroll must submit official documentation of graduation from high school by the first day of classes of their first semester at New Paltz. This is a New York State Education Department mandate.
Transfer applicants must opt in to the waitlist by 11:59 p.m. (PT) on May 15. Being on the waitlist does not guarantee an offer of admission. We strongly urge students to accept another university’s admission offer before the appropriate deadline to ensure they have secured a spot at an institution.
