Hi all, I'm potentially going to buy a Necky Gannet for 600$ CAD and I was wondering if you guys consider it to be an overpay? I know it's considered a good all-around kayak, but I'm a bit reticent in spending that much considering it doesn't have any storage and is at least 5+ years old.
First option is necky gannet and second is perception vista. If somebody could tell me the difference between this two I would be very grateful. 16 mar 2006 · I like the 9-10 foot kayaks for more control and stability on the tighter faster rivers. I saw a necky at a local paddling shop and I am hoping to be able to try it out this summer. I liked the wilderness systems pamlico 100 but they got rid of the dry hatch which was my good selling point on it.

11 wrz 2024 · Based on the photos, I'm guessing it's an Arluk II or III. The boat's identifiers look like stickers, so may have been removed. Like this, perhaps? Nice 'made in Canada' Necky Arluk III. Fibreglass construction. 18' long x 23" wide. The colour is cream - off white) for both deck and hull, with green seam and cockpit coming.
