Since 1987, scholarships amounting to more than $5 million have been awarded to Baptist young people to attend educational institutions. The TBF is committed to helping Baptist students in Tennessee afford a college education by offering various scholarships.
• Be full-time student at a NC Baptist related University • Be a member of a church affiliated with the Baptist State Convention of NC. • Award ranging between $500 minimum and $2,500 maximum.
Many SBC state conventions, foundations, associations, agencies, and individual churches support students directly through scholarships, grants, or loans. Most of these “external” organizations govern their own procedures and systems, and quite often post different application deadlines.

The NC Baptist Foundation has four educational scholarships available for Baptist stu-dents. Applications for these scholarships are online, and are open as of January 1, 2022 and will remain open until the close of business on February 14, 2022. Scholarships In order for a student to proceed to the final state drills and qualify for scholarship and state title, the student must be from a participating N.C. Baptist church. A student may win the scholarship only once as a driller and once as a speaker.
