10 gru 2023 · The names of the elements are listed in the periodic table, along with their symbols, atomic numbers, and atomic masses. The chemistry of each element is determined by its number of protons and electrons.
Interactive periodic table showing names, electrons, and oxidation states. Visualize trends, 3D orbitals, isotopes, and mix compounds. Fully descriptive writeups.
There are seven elements on the periodic table that exist naturally as diatomic elements. These elements, when found in nature by themselves, contain particles with two atoms of each element. We refer to these particles as diatomic molecules. The seven elements are hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, and iodine.
Symbol of an element. Symbols represent elements, the first alphabet of their English or non-English name, written in capital letters. For example, C for carbon, O for oxygen, and H for hydrogen. Usually, another alphabet is also chosen from the element's name and written as a small letter, e.g., He for helium, Co for cobalt.
