The National Poetry Competition 2022 winners were announced at a live awards event at the Southbank Centre, London on 29 March 2023. There were over 17,800 poems submitted to the 2022 competition from 8,112 poets from 103 countries worldwide.

More than 6,600 poets aged 11-17 submitted over 17,000 poems into the 2024 competition. Young people from 113 countries entered the competition from as far afield as Azerbaijan, Bolivia, Madagascar and Sri Lanka, as well as all over the UK.
