The documentary, which was produced in 2017 in cooperation with the Czech Olympic Committee, depicts the Czech men’s ice hockey team winning gold at the Nagano 1998 Olympic Winter Games. These were the first Games featuring National Hockey League (NHL) players.
Entitled, “Nagano '98: Stories of Honor and Glory”, Bud Greenspan's film pays tribute to the athletes of the world competing on the slopes and in the stadia of this charming Japanese city. Heavy snow and thick fog may have threatened some of the key events, but all were held successfully.
