31 paź 2017 · When I am having a text message conversation, I will go to reply to a text I received and my imessage text box has disappeared leaving me no way to type a message. (In the case of the photo above, everything under the message "I forgot; we can go. I just spaced it." is missing)
21 mar 2015 · I have a recurring problem in Messages on my Mac where, in one group conversation in particular, the text box occasionally disappears. Instead of having a text box at the bottom of the screen I can type into, the conversation simply goes all the way down.
1 cze 2023 · Go to Settings>Messages. Turn iMessage off then back on again**. Open messages app and go to the group chat with the missing text box and it should be back. **I actually turned iMessage off and then went to the group chat to see that the text box came back.
28 mar 2024 · The text box at the bottom of a group chat has disappeared when viewing it on my Macbook. The text box still appears on my phone. Steps I have tried: quitting/starting Messages. going to Messages/iMessage and signing out and signing back in. going to Messages/iMessage and unclicking Enable Messages in iCloud and clicking it back on.

Okay the text box works just fine. But is there a way I can convert it to a scroll box instead? I have tried every scroll box I could possibly find on the internet, but they do not show up. If you know a solution, please message me.
Whenever the messagebox is hidden, you will see two entries, one for the main application and another entry for this message box. It is easy enough to fix the problem once you know what has happened, but some of our non-technical users are confused by it and end up switching off their computers.
