MyPlate Graphics. This page contains multiple versions of the MyPlate graphic: the full MyPlate, MyPlate with the fruits and vegetables sections highlighted ("Make half your plate fruits and vegetables"), and the five individual food groups. Graphics are available in .eps, .png, and .jpg formats.
MyPlate. MyPlate replaced MyPyramid and the Food Guide Pyramid in 2011. MyPlate illustrates the five food groups as the building blocks for a healthy diet. Through the familiar mealtime visual of a plate and fork, MyPlate reminds people to think about this idea while eating.
It replaced the USDA's MyPyramid guide on June 2, 2011, ending 19 years of USDA food pyramid diagrams. MyPlate is displayed on food packaging and used in nutrition education in the United States. The graphic depicts a place setting with a plate and glass divided into five food groups that are recommended parts of a healthy diet.
