    MyPlate Plan. The MyPlate Plan* shows your food group targets – what and how much to eat within your calorie allowance.   3. Ensuring kids have nutritious meals and snacks puts them on the path toward lifelong health and well-being. MyPlate has many resources to support parents, caregivers, and others in helping to make sure that all children have the opportunity to be #HealthyKids.

  4. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) created MyPlate, an easy-to-follow food guide, to help parents to figure out how to feed their kids nutritious, balanced meals. The colorful divided plate includes sections for vegetables, fruits, grains, and protein foods.

  5. The USDA MyPlate icon uses a familiar and relatable image to help us balance our diets, eating from all five food groups proportionally. MyPlate identifies each of the food groups with a different color and a proportional section of the meal setting.
