  2. 23 kwi 2023 · Cervical Myelopathy is a common form of neurologic impairment caused by compression of the cervical spinal cord most commonly due to degenerative cervical spondylosis. The condition most commonly presents in older patients with symmetric numbness and tingling in the extremities, hand clumsiness, and gait imbalance.

  3. Cervical myelopathy is estimated to affect up to 5% of people older than 40 years, and incidence is expected to rise in ageing populations. Although myelopathy is common, the condition is often underdiagnosed and diagnosis is usually delayed.
