You get up to 50 or so with your normal tranny, hit a button, and it shifts into "fourth" gear and you can continue on.

  2. 4 maj 2014 · Squirrel is right, it is an assembly and they didn't service any pieces. I used to pull the bronze rings out from abusing the transmission (that's another story). I modified a pair of snap-ring pliers to let me pull the syncro blocks out and then tap the bronze rings back in and restake them. Then re-install the blocks. Almost like a new syncro.

  7. 29 mar 2015 · It looks to me like you would only need to take the shift arms off of your current transmission and put them on the newer one. Most of the later model cars that came with a three speed had the shifter on the floor, and the arms are different.
