21 wrz 2017 · For Chrome: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome] For Firefox: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\lockedpref] But I cannot find these directories on my PC and another PC, I also reinstall Chrome and Firefox with the newest version.
11 gru 2015 · The Gecko runtime maintains a service known as the chrome registry that provides mappings from chrome package names to the physical location of chrome packages on disk. This chrome registry is configurable and persistent, and thus a user can install different chrome providers, and select a preferred skin and locale.

This file lists locations of chrome packages. In toolkit applications, this is also handled by the extension manager. The EM keeps a list of enabled extensions, and provides a list of chrome package locations to the chrome registry. The manifest/registrations are not read at every startup.
I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium. I updated firefox and began getting the message "Firefox could not install this item because of a failure in Chrome registration" twice before firefox loads. So I uninstalled the version of firefox that I was running (2.0.x) and I just installed Firefox 3.5.3. I keep getting the message before firefox loads.

Here are the steps to force it to: enter chrome://flags into Chrome's address bar. search for 'WinRT Geolocation Implementation' Change that setting to 'enabled' Restart Chrome and do something in it that needs to get your location

This gives you the appearance of debugging the code as you wrote it, as opposed to code that is served by your development server and executed by the browser.
