Keep Your Health Insurance - If you have Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare, it’s important to keep your contact information updated so Mower County HHS can reach you when it’s time to renew your health insurance.
Apply online at the MNSure website or complete the Application for Health Coverage and Help Paying Costs (PDF) and mail or drop it off at our office. If applying for Long-term Care Health Care (nursing home & home/community based waiver services), complete the Application for Medical Assistance for Long-Term-Care Services (PDF).
Enroll by December 18 for coverage starting January 1, 2025. Enroll December 19 through January 15 for coverage starting February 1, 2025. Open enrollment is an annual period when you can enroll in a private health insurance plan or renew or make changes to your current plan.

January 15: Open Enrollment ends — last day to enroll in or change Marketplace health plans for the year. After this date, you can enroll in or change plans only if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.
