PREREQUISITE COURSES. Prerequisite courses must be completed at a regionally accredited two-year or four-year college or university; online courses from directly accredited institutions are also accepted. Students must earn a B or better in all prerequisite courses.

In 2020, the PA department developed a distinctive model to provide specialized training to PAs upon graduation through our PA academic residency program.
All applications to the Augsburg PA Program must be processed through CASPA, following all guidelines and regulations set forth by the application service. CASPA charges $179 for the first program you apply to and $56 for each additional program.
Admission Requirements. Admission to the M.S.P.A.S. program occurs annually, with a new class beginning each January. Qualified applicants for the Lexington or Morehead campuses must simultaneously apply to the Centralized Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA) and the UK Graduate School.
These are the program required competencies for entry level practice, as defined by the PA profession: Medical Knowledge: Demonstrate core knowledge about established and evolving biomedical and clinical sciences and the application of this knowledge to patient care.
All students matriculating into the UKPA Program are required to meet certain technical and behavioral standards of the program and College of Health Sciences. Additionally, applicants must pass a background check and drug screenings.
