High DPI with scaling allows you to use higher resolution/higher detail icons and other UI elements while keeping them the same physical size. And increasing font size on a 27" 4K display to the same physical size they'd be on a 27" 1440p monitor makes the text crisper, clearer, and easier to read since it is using more pixels for the same size.
13 lip 2019 · I have an LG Ultrawide monitor with a native resolution of 2560x1080, now paired with a Surface Pro 6 (SP6) running Windows 10 Pro x64 (I upgraded). I am using a Mini Display Port to HDMI adapter for display, via the Surface Pro 3 Dock.
The recommended setting on Windows is 150% but keeping it at that setting means you're stuck with blurry apps if they aren't dpi aware. Using 200% scaling fixes the blurry apps issue however everything is very large and you only get 1080p screen real estate.
