24 wrz 2021 · N-Trak standards are 40" to the top of rail, with 1" plus or minus adjustable legs to accommodate uneven floors. Which is a pretty good all-around height for a model train layout of any gauge. It also allows adequate room to sit on the floor or on a roll-around legless chair underneath of it to work on wiring.
8 sty 2011 · There are different heights depending on how tall you are and what is the optimum viewing you want. I am 5'8" tall (68") and my layout varies from 48" to 54" tall. The layout mostly runs a long the wall of the layout room, and varies from 24" to 30" wide for the most part.
31 paź 2015 · The instructions suggest using 31" legs for the modules. I'm a member of several different module groups, all use different module heights. The HO group uses 42" (adjustable from 41"-43") from floor to top of rail, the On30 group uses a height of 36" to 38".
Generally, the best height for a model train layout depends on your height and personal preferences. However, most people recommend setting train sets up anywhere from 45”-54” off the ground. Before making a final decision, take your height and viewing preferences into consideration.
The "ideal height" for any model railroad is an individual preference. I'm 6' 4" tall and prefer a minimum of 48". My optimum track height on the layout is 62".
