Just wondering if it’s possible to throw a turbo kit in my MK4 2.0 Golf? Would that destroy my engine, or would it be more worth it to find a used 1.8T engine and throw that in my car?
2 cze 2010 · There are no horsepower gains worthwhile to justify a turbo setup on the 2.0s. They are only an 8 valve motor, where the 1.8s are 20 valve. You would be looking at a terrible investment. Definitely not worth it.
26 lut 2012 · Do yourself a favor and piece together a sound kit from the vendors you see floating around here on the vortex. Don't expect to get the job done for less than ~$3,000 if you are using a new turbo and fabbing everything yourself.
9 cze 2010 · mk4 2.0 turbo build....finally. Been piecing things together for about 4 months now and finally have just about everything. After researching for months , I think I'm ready...here goes nothing. I'll be installing it starting tomorrow (6/9/10) and working on it through the weekend.
1 wrz 2014 · 3- turbo - you will need an ABA 16V head for this and somebody willing and capable of doing custom turbo work - around 200hp gain if you do it right and don't blow up your engine. Those are your only options and all of them have a way higher price erformance ratio than anything on a 1.8T.
