Expected behavior. Left-clicking with some shears on a string attached to a tripwire hook should disarm the string so any entity standing on the block does not trigger the tripwire. The "disarmed" state of the minecrat:tripwire block should be set to "true".

Similarly, we also allow you to enable string-based duplication bugs with the following config option: config/paper-global.yml. unsupported-settings:allow-tripwire-disarming-exploits:true. This is a long term bug that has not yet been fixed by Mojang.
