You can login in the official website of VRchat and send messages to a person from your friend list but he/she will be able to read it only if he/she sometimes checks his/her profile there. I wouldn't count on that though :)
14 paź 2022 · There will be no messaging system in VRChat, as it defeats the main purpose of VRChat, which is meeting other people. The devs have talked about that several times in the past few years. If you really need to message someone, you can do it with another tool, like discord, telegram, etc.
I know there used to be a client that could send direct messages within vrc which would be super helpful, always have the issue of needing to get people to show my avatar so I can communicate with them using my pen or keyboard in game.
