Math 1, Math 2, Math 3 & Math 4 are a sequence of courses that build upon the foundation established in elementary and middle school. These courses develop mathematics across multiple categories, continue to promote diverse mathematical insights and nurture differing strengths and talents.
Make-up Days: Saturdays and/or Extended school days may be used for make-up as determined appropriate by the Superintendent. Elementary: October 3rd Required Secondary: January 17th Required. Additional days may be added at the Superintendent’s Discretion. Approved by the BOE on November 8, 2023.
NC Math 2 Mathematics Unpacked Contents For the new Standard Course of Study that will be effective in all North Carolina schools in the 2017-18 School Year. This document is designed to help North Carolina educators teach the NC Math 2 Standard Course of Study.

Math 2 is the second math course towards NC graduation requirements. In Math 2, students study quadratic, square root and inverse variation functions. In the geometry units, students will study rigid motions, prove theorems about lines, angles and properties of triangles.
