IMO the only magic mods that ever really felt like magic were Ars Magica 2 and Thaumcraft. AM2 is not available on 1.12, and I don't even like Thaumcraft that much. Here's some hot takes about on why I don't suggest the other magic mods:

This project is a forked up verison of the SKLauncher used to make custom launchers, made to look nicer, and is currently loading curse packs on. This could be a alternative to twitch And hope you enjoy it. BTW: Forgot to mention it autoupdates.
