20 sie 2023 · This video shows how to reach Mach 10 in the Darkstar from Top Gun Maverick in Microsoft Flight Simulator. This video does NOT use the traditional method/procedure shown on the primary flight display of the Darkstar, but a much easier method.
26 lut 2024 · Why is it whenever I fly a fast jet in external view…the airspeed is always shown as a MACH number? This is ok for higher speeds but if trying to land using external view (which I like to do sometimes!) trying to get the correct airspeed is a faff! Can this be set to Knots ?
Scramjets (supersonic ramjets) require the aircraft to hit a fairly high Mach number before they can ignite. The flight profile provided uses the initial dive to assist in reaching the scramjet ignition speed.
The Mach number in game isn’t the most accurate. 5900 knots is equal to around 6790mph which is pretty damn fast. It lets you fly from London Heathrow to Kennedy airport in NYC which is a distance of 3442 miles in just about 35 minutes where in a normal passenger plane it would take almost 6 hours.
