The M46 Patton is an American medium tank designed to replace the M26 Pershing and M4 Sherman. It was one of the U.S Army's principal medium tanks of the early Cold War, with models in service from 1949 until the mid-1950s.
12 cze 2017 · and my new project is the following: the T-34/85 produced by Hobby Boss on 1/48 scale. the reason i went for this kit are two: first i was curious about the 1/48 scale for tanks, i've never built one, if they come out as good as 1/35 but costing less and at a reduced size, well i may possibly decide to switch to this scale.
The M46 had some specific external features, but the real revolution was mostly internal. The most obvious difference was the new engine, which dictated a "stretched" rear engine compartment by a foot.
These T-34 kits are among DML's best offerings in all these aspects. DML have labelled this kit "T-34/85 Mod. 1944". It is not. Although it is pointless to make definite statements about Soviet armour, this kit displays all of the features of a typical T-34/85 Model 1945.

T-34-85 tanks were modernized in 1959: they were made amphibious for depths of up to 5 m; were equipped with gyrocompasses; were equipped with preheaters for water and oil; had the Soviet 9RS radio changed to a Czechoslovak RM-31T one; and underwent other improvements.
