20 mar 2011 · XXO XXX for low Bnat (G# in D terminology) is way too sharp. As on the low D, XOX XX/ gives the best pitch for first octave Db (Bb on a D), though XOX XXO and backing off a little on the breath pressure works fine too. For Eb (Cnat), the MK F works best with both the standards: OXX OOO and OXX XOO.
I figured my whistle wasn't faulty, I just wanted confirmation. I tried to take my time choosing a whistle but still ended up jumping the gun a bit. I did find a few more reviews on the Feadog Pro and learned that it can be finicky on breath control and may not be the absolute best for a brand new beginner.
I recommend you try one, use it for your practice, and then think about a high end one if you need it later. I could see doing so for aesthetic reasons, if you're not a fan of the pvc pipe look, or the static electricity issue, or the shape of the beak being too short to hold it the way you'd prefer...
21 gru 2021 · I was fortunate to acquire a 314 AW with the whistle control box several years ago. After getting the normal engine mechanism to run well, I started to fix the previous owner's rewiring of the whistle unit in the tender - what a mess that was.
30 maj 2020 · There are way too many options, and choosing which one you personally would like best is tough. But, if you're asking for a recommendation, I cannot recommend Killarney whistles highly enough. One key is that unlike many other whistles out there they are made by people who play really, really well.
3 gru 2023 · The KW's whistle control (as with most post-war transformers) has two positions. When you press the whistle button, it first makes contacts that introduces the full, rectified (DC) 5 V auxiliary winding to ensure the whistle relay closes.
12 wrz 2015 · Sep 12, 2015. #1. Been checking out Ilya Efimov's tin whistle. Anyone got this? I couldn't find any videos demonstrating it, but the demos sound great. I'm curious as to how easy it is to use. The Duduk sounds fantastic out of the box, and the playability is great. Does the same go for this library? Any other alternatives out there?
