The LR 300 is an American rifle and conversion kit designed by gunsmith Allan Zitta and manufactured by Z-M Weapons.
The ZM LR-300 was a rifle designed by Alan Zitta of ZM Weapons, a former competitor in what was 3 gun before 3 gun even existed, in the mid 90s. The original design was marketed for LEO use, and to my knowledge, all the original hosts were select-fire.

In fact, LR-300 and Para TTR both use standard AR-15-typelower receivers; only upper receivers are different and contain patented modified gas system.
28 lis 2021 · Front heavy. Sure it only weighs 6.5 lbs but it feels more like an M16A2 with a 20 in. barrel as far as front end weight. It has more of a slap when it shoots. I feel the recoil is less than a buffer tube. There is less muzzle climb. If I were to choose I would pick the ZM over a Plain Jane hands down.
22 gru 2001 · Z-M Weapons LR-300. Who here has experience with the preban or postban versions of the Z-M Weapons LR300 conversion for the AR-15? For inquiring minds, it's a gas-piston conversion for the AR-15 that allows for a folding stock as well. It looks really cool, but it expensive.

These things are very rare, and there are a few accessories that I need to finish mine, namely the original style pistol grip, original front tri-rail, and rectractable/foldable stock.
Z-M LR 300 SR-N - 5.56x45mm NATO. The LR 300 is a modification of the Colt AR-15 designed by Allan Zitta of Z-M Weapons. The LR 300 utilizes a system known as the Direct-Impingement Gas System (or DIGS), which extends the gas key and places the gas venting system inside the handguard.
