Each summer, New Yorkers, like me and my fellow local tour guides, head to the city’s beaches for fun in the sun. As I can attest, the beaches are better than what many people expect. Several have soft sand along the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. You can swim at most of them, and even surf at some!
