I recently went through transformation academy to become a certified life coach. Paid the fee and did the whole 25hours of class just to be told I have to do and pay for 3 other classes to earn master life coach certification. It's a legit business but definitely not worth it.

They are total scammers. I work with people every day that call themselves “coaches” that have no credentials except paying a bunch of money to some other scammer for a fake certificate. They don’t know any more about how relationships then your friend does.
Anyone who is coaching and giving unsolicited advice and charging for it without the clients permission is not a life coach. It’s not a very regulated profession, but there is a code of ethics. It just takes a really quick google search to articulate it better than I can on a forum.
