There are various reputable and legit "expert network" companies (search this subreddit for that term), such as GLG. I can imagine some of them might be borderline sketchy though. These companies basically scout potentially knowledgeable people on certain (niche) industries for "expert interviews".

Legit Or Not? I've been applying to a ton of focus groups/market research studies from them recently because they've been posted on my normal focus group finding site. Each one says it's from their location in Texas or San Francisco or Georgia in America. I got a voicemail the other day.
