One of Nebraska's best trout streams, Long Pine Creek has about 20 miles of trout-supporting water. Both brown and rainbow trout naturally reproduce in the creek's abundant gravel beds. The creek's middle section from Seven Springs to Camp Witness, a church camp, provides the best habitat and the most fish; larger fish are more common downstream.
While you must have permission to fish on private property, but there’s public access at Long Pine SRA, Long Pine WMA, Pine Glen WMA, and Seven Springs. The creek from Seven Springs to Camp Witness holds the highest numbers of fish and best trout habitat, but the biggest trout are caught downstream.

Fly fishing in Utah is mostly done on medium sized trout streams, so your classic 9 foot 5 weight will be perfect. If you decide to venture on the small streams, a 7.5 foot 3 weight will be ideal. And if you’re throwing streamers on the Green or on alpine Stillwater, a 6 weight may be your best bet.
6 lis 2018 · Long Pine. Known as the best public stream to fish in Nebraska, it’s quite apparent to see why once you’re here. It’s much wider than the majority trout streams in Nebraska and has a significant volume of water running through it, creating deep swimming holes around the bends, but not too much that makes it challenging to get a good lie in.
