I'm looking for a decent trout rod and reel. Mostly catching brookies and the occasionally brown trout. Probably a 4-5 wt combo. I'm from Canada but I'll be driving by ll bean in Maine shortly. Is it worth getting a rod there or are there more options and better deals online?
LLBean Double L Reel Review. This reel is about 100$, it’s a clicker, and it’s probably only good to hold a 4wt. I like it. It’s machined in Korea, has good tolerances, a classic style arbor, and enough drag to land those monster brook trout.
27 sie 2019 · Up for sale - a Hardy built LL Bean Silver Guide 7/8 reel. These are relabeled Marquis reels. This one is in really nice shape with a great click, a couple of scratches on the back but otherwise really clean (see photos).
