Walton Park is a public park owned by the City of Litchfield and maintained by the Litchfield Park District. The Park is open to the public from April 1 to October 31 during the hours of 8 am - 10:30 pm. Walton Park is ideal for fishing, picnicking and enjoying the outdoors.
This is an 11-acre park with a 40-acre lake and is open to the public every year from April 1st to October 31st during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily. Walton Park is ideal for hiking, picnicking and enjoying the outdoors.
Programs and activities include meals on wheels, yoga, line dance classes, pickleball, youth baseball and soccer, adult softball, and Litchfield Senior Citizen's Club.
Litchfield Recreation. The Pride of Litchfield's recreational development is Lake Lou Yaeger, a 1,500-acre lake and 500 acre park. Lake Lou Yaeger is known throughout the country for its campsites, boat-loading ramps, fishing, hunting, skiing, swimming, picnic and playground areas, walking and cycling paths, and miles of horseback riding trails.
