29 gru 2019 · You should be able to flash the Arduino with GRBL using the Arduino IDE. Once you have GRBL on the Arduino, LightBurn should be able to find it and choose the correct device and config from there.
26 mar 2021 · 80W is certainly achievable from a fibre-coupled diode laser, but an 80W one runs to many, many thousand of US$ more than a decent CO2 tube costs. The other choice is a diode linear array - normally water-cooled and run at 808nm, used for medical procedures and in 20W/module, so you gang 4x 20W units to achieve 80W.
More recent versions of GRBL (1.1f and up) support two laser-oriented features. The first is Laser Mode, enabled by setting $32=1 in the firmware settings. Laser mode eliminates the pauses that happen when changing power output, because GRBL knows it's controlling a laser which reacts instantly, instead of waiting for a spindle to change RPM.
Diode lasers have a focusing spacer to set the distance between the laser and the material. CO 2 lasers may require manual focusing with a focusing spacer or may support auto-focus with the Focus Z button.
