i got the chromecast (4k) and the video quality is vastly superior than using the LG youtube tv app. in addition to chromecast, you can toggle the LG picture settings (e.g. vivid, sports, cinematic, etc.).

I recently purchased a 77" C1 after doing pretty extensive research. One thing that none of the reviews or documentation mentioned was the lack of sports apps, e.g. ESPN, NFL, MLB.tv, etc. I'm guessing LG has some kickback incentive to get people to sign up for Hulu Live, YouTube TV, or Sling so they don't carry those apps. Okay, fine.
