Use the keyboard shortcuts. The special keys on the keyboard help you work more effectively. Invoke the special function printed as an icon on each key or standard function of F1–F12 function keys. To wake up the computer, press Fn or the power button.
Hotkeys share keys with function keys (F1–F12) and other keys. Depending on the FnLock setting, you use hotkey functions by pressing the key directly or in combination with the Fn key. The FnLock switch does not apply to hotkeys not found in the first row of the keyboard.
The following table describes the function keys and Fn key combinations. By default, the USB keyboard acts the standard F1-F12 function. After installing the Thinkpad Keyboard Suite, you can achieve the hotkey function by pressing Fn+Fx (where x represents 1 to 12) keys.
