The xenomorph in Alien (1979) had a total of 4 minute screen time. Darth Vader had a total of 12 minutes screentime in ANH. Less is definitely more when it comes to the big bad.

I have a 6ft poster from AvP back when they were advertising the home release that states the Alien in that is 6ft6 (it's a vital statistics one sheet highlighting the Alien/Predator's killer features)... obviously a marketing thing but I thought I'd chime in. Liked less and less how the Alien shrunk when Woodruff stepped into the suit.
