2 Samuel 22:1–20 “I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies” (v. 4). Continuing his concluding section regarding the life and reign of David, the author of 2 Samuel features in chapter 22 what the ESV calls “David’s Song of Deliverance.”
From David’s psalm, God reveals seven reasons to praise Him in your own songs and prayers of praise. Through David, God revealed that He is the God of (1) deliverance, (2) compassion, (3) omnipotence, (4) love, (5) fairness or justice, (6) empowerment, and (7) faithfulness.
