ICON•S created an annual Book Prize to recognize an outstanding book or books in the field of public law. Books can be nominated by members of the Society’s Executive Committee and Council, groups of at least three ICON•S members, book review editors of academic journals, and publishers.
Eligible books must have been published within the two calendar years preceding the year in which a book is submitted for competition. (i.e. For the prize to be awarded in 2025, qualifying books must be submitted before the relevant deadline in 2024 and have been published during 2022 or 2023).
We accept nominations from book publishers. Nominations for the 2025 Book Award will be open soon. Please check back for updates. Every year, the LSA recognizes great achievements in the field of Law and Society. Each award has a Prize Committee that reviews nominations and selects winners. An LSA membership is required to submit an awards nomination. Nominations for 2025 awards are now open.
Twelve great books are nominees. But only one will win. Fourth, fifth, and sixth graders can participate in the voting process by reading at least two of the nominees.
