7 lis 2022 · This chart lists short-wavelength (high-energy) UV lasers on the left. Long-wavelength (low-energy) infrared rays are on the right. Thin and thick lines, what do they mean? Some lasers emit light in a very narrow spectrum of wavelengths. All the lasers with thin lines (i.e. the top half of the chart) are in that category.

Wavelengths of commercially available lasers. Laser types with distinct laser lines are shown above the wavelength bar, while below are shown lasers that can emit in a wavelength range.
6 kwi 2024 · Low-cost laser pointers (again, using diode lasers) are likely to be closer to 650 nm, as that happens to be a wavelength that it's relatively easy to produce in diode laser technology. 635 nm and 670 nm diode lasers are also common.
The following table, sorted by wavelength, contains common lines mostly from solid-state lasers and gas lasers. Also, some frequently used wavelengths from sources with frequency doubling , frequency tripling or frequency quadrupling are listed.
An incoherent light wave pattern contains light waves of different frequencies and phases. Lasers are used in a wide range of applications, such as in communication (optical fiber phone lines), entertainment (laser light shows), medicine (removing tumors and cauterizing vessels in the retina), and in retail sales (bar code readers).
The 721 system measures absolute wavelength to an accuracy as high as +/- 0.0001 nm and determines the laser's power vs wavelength spectrum to a resolution as high as 4 GHz, or 0.01 nm at 1000 nm.
