20 lis 2007 · Visitors Can Visit the Festival in a Vehicle Free Environment on Nov. 21-25. Los Angeles-The spirit of the holiday season is glowing in Griffith Park, as the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) will turn on the lights for the 12th annual Holiday Light Festival.
This special event takes our passenger guests on a mile-long loop at Griffith Park & Southern Railroad, through festive scenes decorated with thousands of lights. The ride is approximately 10 minutes long, winding through a landscape transformed for the evening.

On Saturday, December 14 , a group of intermediate-level hikers are rallying up to tackle a free sunset hike up Griffith Park and fellow hikers are invited to join!
This trail begins at the Griffith Park Visitor Center and heads up a gravel fire road and follows a wide single track that climbs and drops down a number of steep ridges. The trail intersects and follows an asphalt road that leads to the very top of Griffith Park, right above the Hollywood sign.
