5 lut 2019 · Kymco says the single-overhead cam engine produces 45hp. Some American reviewers have said they doubt that figure but we think it’s legit. The little donk certainly pulls hard on hills and its top speed on our gravel dragstrip was 90km/h.
With the increased power of the UXV 700i, it has a top speed over around 55mph, which is around 10mph faster than the UXV 500i.
The result is plenty of power even for two up interstate passing and a top speed in excess of 100 mph. The trade-off for this abundant power is fuel milage. The Kymco does fine for its displacement, but with 699cc and nearly that many pounds of machine, there’s no getting past the 45-50 mpg barrier.
