What is the 90-Hour Certificate? The MSDE Office of Child Care requires all lead teachers working in a child care center to have the 90-Hour Certificate, a pre-service program that equips teachers in teaching children in the classroom.
This course and a 45-hour course in age-appropriate curriculum (preschool, infant-toddler, or school-age) are required to complete the 90-hour certification for child care. You must successfully complete all course requirements to receive a certificate.
