George IV (George Augustus Frederick; 12 August 1762 – 26 June 1830) was King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and King of Hanover from 29 January 1820 until his death in 1830.

He died on 26 June 1830. His only child, Princess Charlotte had died in childbirth in 1817, so the crown passed to George's brother who became William IV.
26 sty 2023 · George IV, still a great overeater and drinker but now heavily dependent on laudanum, died of a ruptured blood vessel in his stomach on 26 June 1830 at Windsor Castle. The king was buried in St. George's Chapel in Windsor.

Caroline died on 7 August 1821. Much of George's reign was spent at Windsor Castle, though he did become involved in a number of the political issues of the time. By the mid 1820s, his lifestyle was taking a toll on his health, and he died in 1830.
