Treasure Trails. Cryptic clues are common riddle clues that can be found in all tiers of Treasure Trails. These clues demand a fairly wide variety of tasks. The tasks range from speaking to an NPC, searching a designated crate, or directing the player to dig in some fairly obscure location.
A hard clue scroll is a hazardous Treasure trail which can be very rewarding. An elite clue scroll is the second most dangerous clue scroll (both to receive and to complete.) Elite clue scrolls require killing higher level monsters, which is rewarded by much greater and expensive rewards as compared to other levelled scrolls.

Occasionally, players will need to solve puzzle boxes for a hard, elite or master clue in a Treasure Trail. Puzzle boxes contain a scrambled image that players must work to unscramble by clicking on tiles to move them to an empty space.
A player may have a maximum of 5 captains and 25 crew members at any given time. Captains and crew members are assigned to ships through the Shipyard interface by clicking an empty crew slot or dragging the crew member's icon to the empty slot. A ship may have only 1 captain at a time, but may have up to 5 crew members assigned to it.
