I believe this is last years model as it has the darker brown finish.If you go. to Saga's site they dropped the S and just call it the 250. and it only comes in the sunburst finish. It is a little odd that inside my mandolin only 250 it written,but with no S.

  7. Re: Kentucky KM-250S. I have an older KM-250 made in China. It is all solid wood and absolutely worth $175. I had a great luthier set it up and change the string spacing a bit, and it plays very well. It is LOUD and has pretty good tone. Do not expect anything other than a serviceable, decent instrument, though.
