  1. Purchased two weeks ago at Acoustic Music works here in Pittsburgh PA A Kentucky KM-250S. I believe this is last years model as it has the darker brown finish.If you go. to Saga's site they dropped the S and just call it the 250. and it only comes in the sunburst finish. It is a little odd that inside my mandolin only 250 it written,but with no S.

  2. Re: Kentucky KM-250S. The New KM-250 (no longer has an S), went through an update. It now has a radiused fingerboard in addition to other changes. This model is now Sunburst and they make a KM-254 which is identical, but has the Burgundy finish. The KM-350 and 380 have a flat fingerboard.

  4. The current KM-250 is sunburst and the coloring between it and the KM-150 are very similar. We do notice slightly better finish quality on the KM-250 though. As with most of the Kentucky mandolins, these have been made for decades and there are quite a few variations out there. The above differences only apply to the years mentions.

  7. 1990s Kentucky KM-250S Mandolin. (Serial No. 12200) Excellent condition. There is no accurate serial number list of Kentuckys, so the date is an educated guess. It might be older. Nice clean Kentucky A5 style mandolin with the snakehead heaadstock, solid spruce top and laminated maple back and sides. Rosewood bridge and fretboard.
