19 mar 2023 · Stock is the late war beechwood variant either made in 2-pieces, or the toe of the stock was repaired at some point. There is a small crack in the handguard hidden by the barrel band. Bore is a bit on the darker side with sharp rifling.

The stock, handguard, and bayonet lug are the hardest to find parts for a Kar98a carbine. I restored one to military configuration, but it took a LONG time and at the end of the day, I spent more money getting it fixed up as a mixmaster than if.
21 gru 2016 · I'm not sure what to say about your rifle: - it's a Kar 98AZ, made in Danzig arsenal 1913. - it looks to be correct for the rear part (we didn't see the front part) - somehow modified: the recess on butt stock is closed. but: most serial no's are somehow ground off (receiver crest, bolt, trigger guard).
